Galvanized flat steels are produced as a result of coating both surfaces with zinc through hot dipping process of cold rolled metal.
Galvanized materials produced by this coating process aimed at preventing corrosion of material in areas open to atmosphere and extending the life of material, are important inputs for the automotive, major appliances and construction sectors.Â
Galvanized steels are passivated by chromatizing and/or lubricating, thus, the zinc coating formed on the surface is protected. Galvanized steels suitable for cold forming and non-alloy structural steels are defined according to EN 10346 standard. Steels suitable for cold forming that are suitable for bending, drawing and deep drawing can be used indoor and outdoor thanks to their corrosion resistance.
Non-alloy structural steels, on the other hand, can be used in all general structural applications with their corrosion resistance in terms of high strength, formability and weldability.
