Our History










Today, UMS, which continues its production activities /with all its speed and stability, continues to carry out its production activities with its annual 120 thousand tons of SSS production capacity, 150 million meters of profile production capacity and modern machines, galvanized cold forming steels and galvanized non-alloy structural steels.
Since the first day he stepped into the sector, by adopting customer satisfaction, after-sales service, quality and reliability as principles, he continues to make a difference in the sector with the philosophy of always being “one step ahead” in innovation, technology and development, reaching the European markets he targets and taking firm steps forward.

- Basic Principles and Values
One of our main goals is to provide high-quality, reliable, and qualified services, meeting the desires and expectations of our customers at the highest level and ensuring the satisfaction of our customers and employees.
With this goal, our fundamental principle is to always be one step ahead and the best. By being the best, we mean a company that has ensured customer satisfaction, is preferred by them, is environmentally conscious, friendly, and a model of social responsibility.
Honesty and integrity are among our primary values. All our employees and stakeholders trust us due to our professional competence and honesty. We strive to maintain this reputation at the highest level.

- Compliance with Laws and Company Procedures
While conducting its activities, UMS complies with relevant legislation, contractual commitments, international agreements to which the Republic of Turkey is a party, company policies and procedures, and acts within the framework of “Ethical Principles.” We make an effort to resolve our relations with regulatory and supervisory institutions through correct and timely communication.
In our public statements, we provide timely, accurate, complete, and understandable information about our financial statements, strategies, investments, and risk profile.
Due to doing business with over 17 countries worldwide, UMS is subject to various economic sanctions laws. We comply with regulations and legislation related to economic sanctions, including those accepted by the United Nations, the European Union, international organizations, and various states.
We expect our employees to comply with the legal regulations of the countries in which our company operates or has business relationships, as well as UMS policies, procedures, instructions, and ethical principles.

Prevention of Discrimination and Harassment
We show the necessary sensitivity to treat all employees equally and fairly, and during recruitment, we evaluate only the job-related skills, qualifications, behaviors, and performance based on the job requirements, without considering gender, religion, language, race, color, age, nationality, or differences in thinking. We respect human rights, individual differences, and personal characteristics.
We do not tolerate any form of mobbing, violence, or harassment. We report violations, investigate them with a fair approach according to procedure, and apply necessary sanctions.
We never tolerate child labor, slavery, human trafficking, and forced labor. We do not employ children under 16 years old and do not work with any suppliers or customers who use child labor, nor do we use compulsory, bonded, or prison labor under any circumstances.

- Conflict of Interest
We do not benefit personally, through family, or acquaintances from individuals and organizations we have a business relationship with, nor engage in additional financially driven business activities, nor use the name and power of UMS for personal gain.
We advise our employees to consult with a superior to determine if any actions they are considering might create a conflict of interest.
- Environment, Health, and Safety
We promote the efficient use of natural resources, protect the environment, minimize damages caused by our activities, products, and services, educate employees about ISG and environmental sensitivity, and encourage their active participation.
To prevent injuries and occupational diseases, we provide necessary equipment and safe and healthy working environments, and continuously improve our management system to enhance ISG, Environment, and Management performance.
We work to prevent air, water, and soil pollution, conduct recycling processes to reduce waste, and implement measures for the efficient use of energy and materials.
- Fair Competition
We conduct trade using fair market practices, do not attempt to gain information about competitors through illegal and unethical means, do not discuss the competitive pricing process, and avoid unfair competition.
Under no circumstances do we engage in or participate in agreements or actions with competitors or other companies that directly or indirectly aim to prevent, distort, or restrict competition in a specific market or that could have such an effect.
- Confidentiality
We recognize the responsibility of protecting information that could create unfair competition, trade secrets, and personal information of employees and customers. We use this information only for UMS purposes and share it only with authorized individuals.
Upon leaving our company, we do not take confidential information and documents, projects, regulations, etc., obtained during our employment.
- Bribery and Corruption
All our employees are required to comply with national/international regulations and laws in the fight against bribery and corruption. It is strictly forbidden to promise, offer, provide valuable items, or make similar offers to any third party to influence their decision, and/or accept them, create false records in financial records, or prepare false/nonexistent documents.
Employees cannot use their authority for their benefit or that of a relative in a manner contrary to expected behavior, causing harm to the company.
Employees cannot gain personal financial benefits directly or indirectly from purchasing and sales activities or all transactions and contracts they are a party to.
- Political Neutrality
We never compromise on the policy of political neutrality in every country where we operate. We do not contribute materially or morally to any political party, elected public official, or government candidate, sponsor any political campaign, or support any religious organization.
We do not allow demonstrations, propaganda, and similar activities within the workplace and do not allocate any company resources (vehicles, computers, email, etc.) for political activities.
- Social Responsibility
In all our activities, we contribute to the economic development of our country and increase its competitiveness at the international level. We conduct social responsibility activities in areas such as education, health, culture, arts, and sports in line with Turkey's sustainable development goals and engage in services and activities for public benefit.
We always support our employees' voluntary participation in appropriate social and community activities with a sense of social responsibility.
- Stakeholder Relations
In our relations with customers, dealers, suppliers, and similar stakeholders, and in our relations with the public, our principles include being always polite, professional, and fair. Our colleagues do not engage in any behavior that would damage the reputation of UMS or put it in a legally difficult position, either in their work or private lives.
It is a priority for our employees to take care of our products and to be with our customers after sales.
Personal relationships with our suppliers, dealers, and customers never influence the decisions our employees make. Our employees do not use their relationship with UMS to benefit themselves or third parties.
