Drawing Steels (DIN EN 10346)
These types of steels have low carbon structure. Their low scatter level in mechanical properties enables the machinery to function uniformly and reach optimum productivity. This range of products is composed of unalloyed mild steel
designed for bending/drawing or deep drawing according to the mechanical grades. There are 5 grades in this range of products, whose mechanical properties are as defined by the Standard EN 10346.
Below are the 5 product groups described according to EN 10346.
DX51D + Z: for simple bending operations
DX52D + Z: for drawing operations
DX53D + Z: for deep drawing operations
DX54D + Z: for special deep drawing operations
DX56D + Z: for extra deep drawing operations

A number of different finishes are available, as defined by their roughness measured in Ra:
As coated: 0,40 <Ra ≤ 1,30 μm
Semi-gloss: Ra ≤ 0,90 μm
Normal : 0,60 <Ra ≤ 1,90 μm
Rough : Ra> 1,60 μm
Hot dip galvanized steel can be produced and delivered with surface protection either by oiling or by chemical passivation, or by both methods..
• Oiling treatment reduces the risk of further corroison.
• Chemical passivation protects the surface of galvanized steel against humidity and reduces the risk of white rust formation. Local discoloring resulting from this treatment is possible.
Flatness guarantee can only provided for material delivered in cut lengths, in which case two classes of flatness (normal or reduced) can be produced, as per standard EN 10143.
